BlueTooth Laser Scanners, the iPhone and Digit-Eyes

We've just gotten in the KoamTec KDC300 miniature laser scanner for the iPhone / iPad / iPod and it is a CUTE little thing! The term "little" is a bit misleading -- it is smaller than the iPhone, of course and much smaller than an elephant, but at about 3 and a half inches by an inch, it is something you are going to notice in your pocket!
Also seems to work much better than the ScanFob because it is an omnidirectional scanner. We found the ScanFob too hard to use unless you have some vision.
We'll do some testing with the KDC300 and release a report, but for the extra cost ($599 v about $299 for the ScanFob), it seems to be well worth it in terms of usability.
