Manufacturer's Information: MECANISMOS DE ACCIóN: El aciclovir bloquea a las enzimas virales que son esenciales para la síntesis de DNA y así impiden la réplica viral. Esto significa que no permite que el virus de reproduzca. FARMACOLOGíA CLíNICA: Absorción: Al ser administrado por vía oral, la biodisponibilidad del Aciclovir varía entre el 10% al 30%, y decrece con el aumento de la dosis, este fenómeno se debe a su pobre solubilidad. Distribución: El Aciclovir es ampliamente distribuido por el organismo, atraviesa la placenta y el líquido cefalorraquídeo, en el cual alcanza entre un tercio y un medio de la concentración plasmática. En la leche materna puede alcanzar concentraciones tres veces más altas que las del plasma. La unión a proteínas se encuentra entre un 9% y un 33%. Metabolismo: El Aciclovir es metabolizado en el hígado, resultando 9-carboximetilguanina. Eliminación: El Aciclovir es excretado principalmente por la orina, mediante filtración glomerular y secreción tubular. La mayor parte como Aciclovir no modificado; de un 8% a un 14% corresponden a 9-carboximetoxi-metil-guanina y un 0,2% a 8-hidroxi-9-2hidroxietil-guanina. Las dosis de Aciclovir deben ajustarse en pacientes con insuficiencia renal. CONTRAINDICACIONES: Hipersensibilidad e itolerancia a los componentes de la fórmula. |
