Manufacturer's Information: The elegant Primitivo Puglia from Pietra Pura shines with a vibrant color in the glass. Poured into a Bordeaux glass, this red wine from the Old World offers wonderfully expressive aromas of mulberry, morello cherry, plum and black cherry, rounded off with vanilla, black tea and toasted barrique, which are contributed by ageing in wooden barrels. This red from Pietra Pura is perfect for anyone who likes as little residual sugar in their wine as possible. However, it is never sparse or brittle, as you would naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully velvety and dense. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the Primitivo Puglia flatters the palate with a velvety feel without lacking freshness. The finish of this red wine from the Apulia wine-growing region is impressive with its considerable length. There are again hints of plum and damson. Vinification of the Primitivo Puglia from Pietra Pura This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Primitivo. Only the best grapes were used for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Pietra Pura. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by ageing for several months in French oak barrels. Recommendation for the Primitivo Puglia from Pietra Pura This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C.
